  • Call to Worship: Psalm 63:1-4, 139:13-14 (Adapted)

    Leader:    1 You, God, are my God,
                                 earnestly I seek you.

    People:     I thirst for you,
                                  my whole being longs for you.

    Leader:  Because your love is better than life,
                                my lips will glorify you.

    People:     4 I will praise you as long as I live,
                                   and in your name I will lift up my hands.

    Everyone:      13 For you created my inmost being;
                                               you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
                                  14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
                                                your works are wonderful,
                                                I know that full well.

    Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 5:5-6 (NLT)

    23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
