Artist Reception

Everyone is invited to meet Cheryl Parris, the quilt artist featured in PBBC’s current art exhibit Not in Part, But the Whole.  Quilts are made up of many small parts, but it is the whole that tells the full story.  In the beautiful quilts featured in this exhibit, Cheryl Parris tells the story of God’s faithfulness throughout her life.  The Reception will include live music and refreshments. Reading Scripture With Eastern Eyes

Scripture was written into pre-Enlightenment Middle-Eastern and Greco-Roman cultures, i.e.  cultures quite different from our post-Enlightenment Western one. Join us for a seminar on how to read the Bible through an Honor–Shame lens. Taught by Jackson Wu, author of Reading Romans with Eastern Eyes: Honor and Shame in Paul’s Message and Mission (2019). Beginning Watercolor Workshop: Painting Forest Landscapes

Have fun learning to paint forest scenes in watercolor! Annette and Katheryn will teach you step- by- step how to create an easy forest landscape. The Girl’s Club Knitting Class
