Advent, which is the beginning of the Church Year, begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas and lasts through Christmas Eve. Advent, which means “coming” or “arrival,” is a season when the Church reflects upon God’s promise to come to his people to save them. We look back to the First Advent of Jesus and look ahead to his Second Advent. An Advent Wreath is often used to symbolize the season. The wreath contains four candles, one for each Sunday.…

We have the opportunity to develop our Mandarin “voice” as we share our stories with one another in Mandarin. The class will continue to practice deep koinonia-fellowship with God and with one another, such as sharing one another’s needs and struggles, as well as supporting and praying for each other. Co-led by Joseph Chou and Teng Moh.

The core of the service is nine lessons or Scripture readings, which trace the story of God’s loving purposes expressed in his pursuit of sinful humanity, in his promises to Abraham and through the prophets, and finally in the sending of his Son in…
