Call to Worship: Psalm 63:1-4, 139:13-14 (Adapted)
Leader: 1 You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you.
People: 2 I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you.
Leader: 3 Because your love is better than life,
my lips will glorify you.
People: 4 I will praise you as long as I live,
and in your name I will lift up my hands.
Everyone: 13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 5:5-6 (NLT)
23 May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.
