Giving Thanks, Doing Good: A Fundraiser with Second Harvest
Did you know that 1 in 6 individuals living in the South Bay and Peninsula regions rely on Second Harvest food banks for their nutritional needs? In the midst of Silicon Valley’s great wealth, it’s hard to imagine that people struggle to get food here. As a church embedded in our community, we want to help meet some of these needs.
We are offering two ways for you to get involved!
First, make a donation to Second Harvest. We have a PBCC sponsored donation page for you to send in any dollar amount to help supply nutritious food directly to Second Harvest. We will be running this fundraiser for three weeks, so spread the word to your friends and family!

Second, come to a special Worship Night on February 1, right here at church, at 4pm! Scripture is filled with God’s call for His people to worship Him (love God) and to do justice (love people). We’re calling it “Giving Thanks, Doing Good” because worship and deeds of love go hand in hand. We’re excited to experience that reality together when we gather! Music will be led by James Garcia and special guest, Dave Burns. Eugene Kwon and Martin Nordby will share more about the heart of God, and specific ways we can continue doing the good work of loving our neighbors right where we are. We hope to see you there!
