The next episode of our Conversation will be about the Asian community, sadly against the backdrop of recent violent attacks. We know that people are responding in different ways: fear, anger, deep pain, avoidance. Members of our family are hurting. This will be an opportunity to hear from some of our Asian brothers and sisters here at PBCC and to celebrate our diverse family.
Jerry Tu will host the Conversation; Bernard Bell will give a short talk; and Kathy Leong will be our featured “story.” She has written the text accompanying Dick Evans’ photographs in a beautiful coffee table book San Francisco’s Chinatown (2020), chinatownbooksf.com. There will be the opportunity to submit questions, to be answered by a panel which will include several of our elders.
