May we be People who Remember

May we be People who Remember

I have found myself needing to remember the truth in this passage this week, I pray it brings you encouragement and hope as well.

“May you be strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Colossians 1:11-14

I’ve needed to remember that the Lord strengthens us, He provides for us from His Glorious Might to have endurance and patience.

To remember to give thanks to our good God, who has done and is continuing to do, so much for us.

To remember that we are a part of His Holy People, no matter where we are or what we face, we share in this community of believers, and that we are not alone.

To remember that because of what Jesus, the Son of God, did on the cross we have redemption, our sins have been forgiven.

To remember that because of this redemption, we no longer live in darkness, but have been rescued from its dominion.

We are people who are quick to forget who our God is. We forget all that He has done.  We forget who He says we are.  Today may we sit with these truths and be people who do not forget, but remember instead.
