Opportunities to serve locally:
In Cupertino
Collins School Kids Club: Kids Club is a free, after school program designed to teach positive life skills to children through games, music, and Bible discussions. The Club meets for a hour and a half on Monday afternoons starting in October and ending in May. If you are interested in participating in (or finding more information about) this ministry, please contact George Stoyko.
Community Emergency Response Team: Most cities have a C.E.R.T. program to train citizens how to respond to local emergencies, such as fire, earthquake, flooding, etc. The training they give includes much more in the way of First Aid, CPR, and just knowing who, in your immediate neighborhood, would need special attention during an emergency. To learn more or volunteer in Cupertino, call 480-777-3120 or to to their website at www.cupertino.org/emergency.
Cupertino: Volunteer opportunities in the Cupertino community can be found by visiting the City of Cupertino Volunteer Site. The website allows volunteers to review and sign up for a wide-variety opportunities in Cupertino, keep track of their volunteer commitments and download their schedules. Volunteers are given the opportunity to express their availability on certain days and times of the week and language proficiency.
RSCP (Rotating Safe Car Park): PBCC currently hosts RSCP every October. The RSCP’s mission is to create safe and welcoming spaces where guests who are living in their cars can sleep, stabilize, recover, and gain access to social services. This care for our neighbors who are home insecure is accomplished through the collaboration of faith-based communities, local city governments, and other service organizations.
We are hosting the Rotating Safe Car Park (RSCP) for the month of October this year. If you want to sign up to serve please contact Shawn.

Ravenswood Youth Athletic Association – “RYAA” is a faith-based, non-denominational organization which began with a very successful recreational and competitive soccer program, and continues to expand its sports and enrichment offerings. RYAA does not see sports as the end-result, but rather a means to create relationships that will mentor, teach and encourage the participants in its programs. Critical to RYAA’s success is the participation of local church partners. RYAA is a positive, uplifting place for church members to put their gifts and talents to work.
