Handmade With Love: Arts & Crafts Faire

This year’s craft faire, benefiting Vision Trust,  includes homemade gifts & food items for all ages, and a relaxing Tea Café.  Proceeds will go toward completing the first floor of a new school building at the VisionTrust “Coca Cola” school outside of Monrovia, Liberia.  For more information contact Tracy Bunce.  

Costume Extravaganza

On Sunday, October 28th, all children (Toddler – 5th grade) are encouraged to come to church dressed in a costume. Please, NO scary or cruel costumes and NO WEAPONS of ANY kind! Some costume ideas: Favorite Bible person, Historical missionary, Story book character, Animal or Hero. This is strictly voluntary – no pressure to participate. Art & Craft Workshops: Silk Scarf Painting

Back by popular demand – SILK SCARF PAINTING!  Nancy Woodward and friends will guide you through the process of creating a unique, colorful silk scarf to adorn yourself with or to give as a gift to delight someone else.  All supplies will be provided.  Everyone – novices to the experienced – will enjoy this afternoon of color, creativity, and community. Artist Reception for Current Art Exhibit

In the current exhibit in PBCC’s Auditorium, The Body of Christ – Unity in Diversity, artists from PBCC and guest artists from Bay Area Creatives (a Menlo Church group) present art that explores the implications and realities of this theme in the Church today. Children’s and Youth Ministries are teaming up with Real Options to present a seminar for parents (K-12th grade) and students (6th – 12th grade) on “Sexuality.” There will be a “Parent” section and a “Student” section – all middle through high school students are welcome. Sunday School Teacher Training

Elementary Movie Month

During September, all elementary students go into big church with their parents and join in the music and worship time.  They are then dismissed before the sermon to go to Fellowship Hall for fun, games and movies.  This year we will be watching a family-friendly version of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe  and we will be memorizing the Lord’s Prayer.  On September 30th, the students will teach The Lord’s Prayer including hand motions in Big Church.   DON’T MISS…

Summer Sunday School

Summer Quarter begins July 1st and ends September 30th. September is Movie Month for Elementary Students. They will go to big church with their parents and then be dismissed prior to the sermon to go to Fellowship Hall for movies and group activities. ToHu Mini Golf & Cold Stone Creamery

Mini Golf & Ice Cream! Meet at GolfLand in Sunnyvale (Wolfe & El Camino) at 1:15pm and bring $20 for Golf, Arcade and Ice Cream. We’ll split into smaller groups of 4-6 to go round the course. Then we’ll walk together down the street to Cold Stone for Ice Cream. As always, if you beat my score, I’ll buy your Ice Cream!! Parents please pick up by 4:30pm at Cold Stone on El Camino.

Freedom Sunday

PBCC will be celebrating Freedom Sunday, along with hundreds of other churches around the country. This is a day dedicated to God’s heart for justice and seeing how His people can lead the way to slavery’s end.  Learn more about global and local human trafficking at a free lunch with Vanessa Russell, Founder of Love Never Fails and Erin Kattos, a Program Manager with International Justice Mission.  Lunch will be at noon in Fellowship Hall.  Questions?
