DEACONS

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:
to look after orphans and widows in their distress... James 1:27 (NIV)

The Deacon Ministry is a ministry of the people of PBCC helping one another in times of need. The deacons are the administrators who match up the needs with others in the church who may be able to help fill that need. Our primary concern is for the elderly and single moms and others who are unable to do some things themselves or afford to hire help.

Some examples of the ways in which deacons and their volunteers can help:

Providing meals
Providing transportation
Yard work
Moving
Visitation, at home or in the hospital
Handyman (electrical, plumbing, painting, light carpentry, etc.)
Tutoring

Need help? If you would like to request assistance from the deacons, please contact Bill Harman at deacons@pbcc.org.

Would you like to help? If you would like to volunteer to be on call to help in any of the ways in which the deacons provide assistance, please fill out our online Deacon Mininistry Volunteer Sign-Up.

What gifts or skills has the Lord given you that could be used in ministering to others?
