Cindi
Cindi is a lover of life. If you’ve got life, Cindi loves you. Since you are reading this, you are alive, which means you are loved by Cindi. She has been working with the high school group for nearly a decade…which is amazing since she doesn’t look a day over 23. When not loving on the girls of her Small Group, Cindi likes to do anything related to art. Her favorite style is toe-painting. Next time you see her, ask her to show you her latest toe painting!
Jon
Jon is the team dad of the high school ministry. He and his wife, Tanya, host events at their home throughout the year, including the monthly staff meetings. These prove to be very productive as a result of the atmosphere Jon creates. Jon is a five year Mexicali veteran who is a great help with that trip. He has two daughters: Mallory, in college, and Becca, in high school.
Stephen
Stephen is enjoying his second year as a Small Group leader and the students are really taking a liking to him. It probably has something to do with his obsession with wakeboarding. It is rumored that he practices his wakeboarding tricks on the Wii Fit board at the close of all his Small Groups . . . some would pay big money to see this stuff, but it’s free for those who come!
Steve
“Steve-o” as he is known by many in the high school ministry is also a veteran of high school ministry. When not working at HP, Steve is an avid gamer. He enters the real world of the students’ lives by entering their virtual world via the Xbox 360. He takes much pride in the guys who come out of his small group with the ability to defeat every guy in their dorm their freshman year of college.
Ravinder
Ravinder is a veteran of multiple high school events over the years but has finally decided to take the plunge into full-time status. Ravinder is the star storyteller on staff and can have anyone riveted to his stories for up to 5 straight hours. It’s incredible…ask him to tell you one!!
Krista
Krista, literally a lifesaver, works as an ER nurse at a hospital in San Jose. Pulling the graveyard shift has proved to be a challenge as the most convenient time for her to have her Small Group is 3 a.m. A couple of the girls said that time wouldn’t work for them so Krista now has a conventional start time of 7 p.m. Outside of the need for breakfast at that hour, Krista appears to be adjusting just fine.
Ann Marie
Some may say Ann Marie is just a slacker. She only holds a 50 hour-a-week job, audits seminary classes, and is a Small Group leader. She would actually be a great asset to the ministry if she weren’t so lazy. With her ample free time you can only imagine what she likes to do . . . sleep! Sweet dreams Ann Marie, sweet dreams!!!
Katie
Katie loves high school age kids so much that just teaching them from 8-3 Monday to Friday at Gunn High School is not enough. She needs more time with them … or maybe she just wants a break from her husband Steve (they are newlyweds!!). Whatever the case may be, the high school girls at PBCC are truly blessed to be able to have some hang out time with Mrs. Settle.!!
Andy
Andy is another veteran of high school ministry. He was a volunteer a couple years ago when the seniors of this year were sophomores. In his spare time Andy is mastering his Hebrew as well as taking PBCC interns and teaching beginning Greek at the church. He’s obviously not very smart. In his other spare time he loves spending time with kids, playing games of all types, both video and board.
Brian
“Studley Dudley,” as he was known by his classmates back when he was in high school, is a recent graduate from Cal Poly SLO…well, he’s kind of a graduate of SLO. His status is still pending as his senior project disappeared with his computer when it was stolen from his car…seriously!! Bryan is a great guy who has a huge passion for aiding high school guys become young men for God. He’s exactly the kind of guy we love to have on staff!
Bobby
Bobby is a great new addition to our staff this year. But don’t ask him what he does for a living because if he tells you he’ll have to kill you. He works on some top secret projects that requires him to have national security clearance and all that stuff. Needless to say he’s more than qualified to hang out with us. Bobby has a huge desire of seeing the guys in his small group being stretched and challenged biblically…so that’s what he brings to the table. Who knows what he’s building from 9-5.
