Q: How do I set up my donations with Churchteams?

A: When you are ready to set up your first donation, use the blue button above to access the donation portal. Fill in the form and click the blue button “Continue”. This will take you to a second form where you can set up your payment method. When you have your payment information set up the way you want it, click the blue button “Give” to complete your transaction and establish your donor account. You can click here to download a copy of the Instructions Handout.

Q: How do I access my donor account to make changes and check my giving history?

A: Use the blue button above to access the donation portal. Click “Login” at the top right corner of the screen (or use this link to log in). Enter the email address you used to donate and create/enter a password. Then click the “Manage” link at the top right of the screen.

Q: How do I find my bank’s routing number and my account number?

A: Many banks will give you this information when you log in to your online banking account but the numbers you need are also on your checks.

Q: Will I receive a receipt for my donations?

A: Yes, you will receive an email receipt immediately. In addition, you may access your giving history at any time by logging in to your giving account. PBCC will send out an annual giving statement to the registered email starting in January 2021 for each prior year.

Q: How much of my gift goes towards transaction fees?

A: Processing donations is a cost of operations at PBCC, and different donation methods generate different levels of fees that PBCC has to pay. Even depositing a check at the bank has its costs! The lowest cost option is an ACH transfer (often referred to as an “e-check), that generally costs about 0.25% of the total amount of the gift. Debit and credit card transactions can run from roughly 1.5% to over 3.0%; debit cards are generally at the lower end of the range, and speciality rewards and American Express credit cards are generally at the higher end.

Q: If credit card transactions are “less efficient,” why does PBCC provide this option?

A: Credit card giving is provided as an option because this is the preferred way of giving for some individuals. However, PBCC’s desire is that no one go into debt in order to give to the church.

Q: Can I schedule periodic gifts to PBCC?

A: Yes. Just click the Recurring checkbox and select the options you prefer. This will give you options for giving on a regular schedule ranging from weekly to annually and to set up optional start and end dates. After you set up your account, you can log in any time to make changes or check your giving history.

Q: Why are there options to give to only two missionaries through PBCC/Churchteams? How can I help support other PBCC missionaries?

A: PBCC is the sending organization for the Fosters, and the Burgesses, so support for them should be directed to PBCC. All of our other missionaries serve under the auspices of various mission organizations on their behalf. These organizations will send you a receipt for your donations, and some of these organizations also provide options to give electronically. Missions organization information for each missionary is available at the bulletin board at the back of the church or by contacting the PBCC Missions Council.

Q: How secure are these electronic transactions?

A: The Churchteams/Ardent Payment Solution’s interfaces are
Payment Card Industry ( PCI ) compliant.

Q: I still feel more comfortable writing a check as my way of giving to PBCC. Can I still do that?

A: Yes, you’ll always be able to make donations to PBCC by check. However, we would still encourage you to create a user account at Churchteams so you can track your donations and print out your own giving statements at any time.

Q: Can I give a gift of stock to PBCC?

A: Yes, if you would like to make a stock gift to PBCC, please email Bob Pershe or Kathy Brazelton or call them at 408.366.6690 for our account information.

If you still have any questions please email Bob Pershe or Kathy Brazelton or call them at 408.366.6690.
